Familiar, yet unfamiliar

“Familiar, yet unfamiliar.”

Even in the same city, the same place,

depending on when you visit,

which season you arrive in,

and who you come with,

the feeling of “familiarity”

seems to change.

Perhaps it’s something obvious,

something I’ve always known,

and yet, maybe I chose not to fully understand it in my own mind —

a thought that crossed me this morning.

To share that feeling as a good kind of familiarity,
