44 Days

“44 Days.”
Inspired by a book I read in early March,
I began running every day.
At first,
I doubted myself —
“Can I really do this?”
By cutting down the habitual stimuli
that filled my eyes and ears before sleep and after waking,
I found the space to run every day.
Letting go of meaningless distractions
that did nothing for my day,
I feel I’ve slowly built the mindset to move my body consistently, morning and evening.
I don’t want to make overreaching promises
to go for 100 or 200 days.
What matters is simply this —
to carry forward the same mindset
that has brought me through these 44 days,
and to run well again tomorrow.
With the belief that I can,
today as well —
Let’s run!
