Peace be with you

“Peace be with you.”
Toward the latter part of the Catholic Mass, there is a moment during the Rite of Peace when the priest, and those gathered together,
exchange a greeting of peace.
Though brief, it is a time that brings a quiet calm to the heart —
a moment that feels unfamiliar,
yet somehow familiar, shared with those we do not know.
Wishing for “peace” is neither difficult
nor something that takes time,
yet these days, I feel how difficult it can be to truly hold that intention.
Even so,
believing in the healthy change that such “peace” brings to both body and mind,
today as well, I offer a prayer:
“Peace be with you.”
And today as well —
I will run.
