Green

“Green.”

As I ran this morning, I suddenly noticed how much green was all around me.

Spring will pass like this, and summer will come, followed by autumn and winter.

It’s curious how simply shifting

from 30 to 1 in the flow of numbers can bring about these thoughts.

That’s why the feeling at the end of a month and the beginning of a new one can be so different, and why it feels, once again, how difficult it is to keep that feeling the same.

With the fresh sense that green brings, let’s begin May.
